Case study
3 Gladstone Buildings
High Street, Barcombe, BN8 5 AX
When Bex moved in last year, her house survey showed that her new home was badly insulated so she undertook a programme of insulation. This included the roof of the main house, the roof of the rear extension, interior wall insulation and insulating under the suspended timber floor on the ground floor. The existing sash windows had secondary glazing fitted. Once this programme of works was done, Bex replaced the night storage heaters with a new air source heat pump, radiators suitably sized for a heat pump and a new hot water cylinder. She was able to
claim the Renewable Heat Incentive towards the cost of the heat pump.
